I was going through some of my older price lists of Philippine coins and came across lists from Hugh B. Jones, George Wilson, and Bill & Ray. Bill & Ray were dealing out of Spokane, Washington at that time. I'm pretty sure Bill is Bill Elwell, and I'm not sure if Ray is Ray Czahor. Are any of these gentlemen still with us today?

Answered my own question this weekend at ANA'S World Fair of Money - Ray of Bill & Ray is Ray Czahor. Attended Philippine Collectors Forum club meeting. Met Ken Seymore and John Riley, Ray was not in attendance.Neil Shafer had a small presentation. One of the bourse dealers had all the top PCGS US-PI slabs. Among them TWO, yes two,PCGS MS 62 1906 s pesos, Pcgs MS 1918 s 5 centavo mule. PCGS & NGC MS 1928/7 20 centavos mules. A PCGS MS 1912 s peso. Various NGC & PCGS proof sets - 03,04,05,06,08. My brother picked up a PCGS Genuine 1906 s peso for under $1000 (it was chopmarked).. Another dealer had a PCGS MS 64 1911 s peso for $8500. And another had a PCGS MS 62 1945 d 10 centavo DDO LA#9.05b. Excellent show.

Did you purchase any coins at the show? It sounds like everyone really had a great show. Do you remember the name of the dealer with the 1906-S MS62 Pesos? That would be an amazing coin to own.

I am also interested to know the name of the dealer/s. Just a side note there is a 1911S One Peso PCGS MS64 on Ebay for $9,599.99. Anyone wants to bid?

Well, if the price was lower, I would consider bidding. This coin is not a TOP POP coin, and I think the price is a little steep for a 3/6 coin... Any thoughts?

The dealer with the 1906-S peso was out of Jersey, Carl D., can't recall his last name. The 1911-S peso on ebay is the same one and same dealer from the ANA WFM show. I picked up a few cheap slabs, not anything major. Best items were from the PCF raffle, of which Ray Czahor donated many of the items. I recieved a 1934-M 5 centavo double die w/rpd 1 (LA #5.04aa), and an 1885 over 188 50 centavos. As for the dealer's from the 70's I will post photos of pricelists. & pics of the PCF raffled coins.

Nice coins! The 1934-M 5c is a tough little coin.
