I have a 1909S coin that appears to me as 1909S/S or 1909S/S/S.I lack the proper scan resolution and knowledge to accurately identify the Lyman Allen variety.

I want to know how much is its worth? And how rare is this variety?

I appreciate your comments.Thanks, Jess

Hello Jess,

I have had several of each variety of the 1909-S/S and 1909-S/S/S.  It is difficult to say which, if either, variety your coin is from the picture.  It usually takes a closer look to truly determine which one you have.  I have included 2 pictures of 2 different 1909-S/S/S Pesos.  In each one, you can clearly see the tripled punch at the upper part of the S.

I have sent 2 1909-S One Peso's to ANACS in the past that looked almost identical to the one you have pictured, and on both occasions they deemed the coin "Cleaned - Corroded" and no variety attribution.
